China International Building Trade Fair – China Building Expo (Shanghai), also known as** CBD Fair**, was inaugurated in Guangzhou in 1999. It is organized by the China Foreign Trade Center, an institution under the Ministry of Commerce. Responding to market demand, the fair expanded to Shanghai in 2015, launching the "Shanghai Building Materials Exhibition" at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai–Hongqiao).

Positioned as an "International High-End Customization Platform," CBD Fair (Shanghai) operates under the theme "Stimulating New Consumption, Serving a New Paradigm." It highlights three core strengths: boosting home consumption in Hongqiao, accessing the vast East China market via Hongqiao, and exploring high-end trends in Hongqiao. Spanning nearly 180,000 square meters, the exhibition covers a comprehensive range of sectors—including premium customization, trendsetting bespoke solutions, ceramic tiles, sintered stone, coatings, and system doors & windows. Concurrently, over 40 forums and industry events will be held on-site to drive dialogue and innovation.
